Genuine BMW Electronics
Chances are, you spend a lot of time in your BMW model. Whether you're running errands or driving to work, you should make the most out of your time by upgrading your vehicle's electronics.
Electronics include infotainment systems, CD players, radios, and stereos. With one of these systems installed, you will have access to music and podcasts.
How to Install a Car Radio
Follow these steps to install your new car radio:
1. Remove the old radio by disconnecting the negative battery terminal to prevent any shorts from occurring. Use a screwdriver to remove the trim panel around the radio. Once that's complete, you should see mounting screws for the radio. Remove these screws and take out the old radio.
2. Next, you will want to connect the new radio. Most come equipped with a harness that plugs into the back. Match the colors of the wires on the harness to the colors on your vehicle's wiring harness. Once connected, insert the new radio in place and screw it in using the mounting screws you removed in the previous step.
3. Finally, reconnect the negative battery terminal. Then, you can test it out and ensure everything is working as it should.
